The Best Motto

Gd, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannon change
Courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

You woke up this morning - Congratulations! You got another chance!

MEME

OK, I have been tagged for two memes (or whatever they are). I am not tagging anyone, because I think all the bloggers I know already got tagged by this, but here goes.

BOOK Meme:

"...You do not need to look like a duchess.'

She accompanied him through the house, thinking she would rather not ride alone in a carriage with him again. She had never entirely recovered from the long journey from Rouen.

The carriage waited in all its splendor. Daniel settled across from her and the wheels rolled. "

OK, I have a whole bunch of romances all other the place at work (I do need to utilize the drawer space, after all). That one was from "The Seducer" by Madeline Hunter (and despite the title, it was really a great love story).

NEXT Meme:

7 facts about me:

1. I do not have a driver's licence, and never finished my driving lessons.

2. I know how to milk cows.

3. My personal library contains about 800 romances.

4. I was able to name all the wives of Henry VIII: their names, their order, what happened to them, and what happened to their offspring. That was long before Cinemax launched it's series about Tudors.

5. I hate putting on make up for purely practical purposes (and not moral, religious, or nonconformist reasons, as people believe). Aside from taking time, I usually feel suffocated if I cake my face with anything even slightly oil based.

6. I am a single girl without kids, but I can hold my own (and even offer informed opinions and advise) in the conversations with parents. I even have my favorite brand of diapers: Huggies, of course:)

7. I am one of the few people who, being born with curly hair, actually enjoy having them curly, and adamantly protest against all the attempts to straighten it (even if one of my former friends claims that straight hair is more elegant).

1. Also still don't have a license. My driving instructor was a bastard and it took me too long to realize he was screwing with me. Now time is somewhat a problem and I have trust issues after the last one.

4. That is extremely disturbing...

6. Huggies rock. My friends gave me some crazy expensive organic diapers that they had left over from babysitting, Seventh Generation Baby. Chlorine free and very not absorbent.

7. Help your sister find a curly sheitel, she looks weird with straight hair.

Hey, my sister never had curly hair; hers was wavy:) And, by the way, that is another quirk I have: I am totally anti-scheitel:)

By the bris, I barely recognized her and my dad didn't at all.

I probably should start blogging less or something. I had a dream tonight where Barb was explaining ot the audience the difference between curly and wave hair with Sally being the model. I need help.

Now's my turn to say, bwahahahaha!

Yeah, we all know when THAT's going to happen. About the time pigs learn to fly.

Hence the smiley face at the end of my comment;

I immensely enjoyed all the comments. As always, I'm jumping in a bit late...
My hair went from wavy to curly to limpishly wavy...
Moshe, your mom didn't recognize me at first, either...But to my defense, I bought the straight sheitel on that shopping trip with your wife. And the only curly sheitel that was there was So big it made my large head look Jumbo...

Sally with an afro/jewfro!
Now that I gotta see!

:)
Also, I forgot to mention, I'm under the impression that straight sheitels are easier to take care of...
On a different note, I love Huggies, too-both diapers and wipes ( though pulling apart the wipes is a tad annoying). I'm on also on their coupons list. Sale @ a pharmacy+coupon= who can refuse huggies?!

I don't like huggies wipes. I buy Luvs wipes in bulk on Amazon. Diapers too. They have a deal where if you sign up for monthly delivery, they take 15% off and free shipping. Cheaper than store, even with coupon.

Since we are on the topic of diapers, and not books, I'll put in my two cents. I keep on switching between different brands. For younger kids I prefer Pampers, hands down. For older kids, I came back to Huggies, completely by accident. I used to LOVE Huggies wipes, but discovered that Babies R Us premium wipes were simply excellent (very strong). Since we rarely shop there any more, I switched to Target wipes, and they are all right too. Never liked Pampers or Luvs wipes, something about the smell, I guess. I don't remember the details.

Why don't you order a case of wipes from Amazon? It's a lot cheaper.

SubWife said...

1) I don't find Amazon to be cheaper. And I always buy in cases, just in the store, not on line.
2) I am particular about wipes. If I don't like the smell, I will never buy them again. And since I like Target brand, I stick with it. It is not offered even in Target.com.
