MORNING UPDATE - October 24, 2014

Good Morning, peeps! Happy Friday! Happy First Day of Rosh Chodesh! Ladies, I know that it's Erev Shabat, so it's pointless to remind you to keep it light on the housework - but please make sure hubbies give you gifts!
The weather is improved somehow and is actually pretty decent for the end of October. 
The heat is on, so Sniff returned to his ninja sleeping position - half on the radiator, and half in the cat house. George also has a fave relaxation pose - he assumes the phoenix pose on the Baby Bro's bed and sticks exactly one claw into the curtain.
Yet another celeb who decided to write a picture book - Bethenny Frankel.
Yesterday had to assist two space cadets simultaneously with Percy Jackson books - but if one was nice, smile-y, and grateful, the other one took it upon himself to prove that I am a moron (proving instead that he is a water buffalo).
Big announcement - although the original Singing Slavs retired for no apparent reason, their baton was recently picked up by a younger group!
The crazy upstairs is really scaring me into thinking of calling the police and checking on her.
Currently trending at #2 is North West - because, according to her mommy, she "will have a job". Afraid to find out the details.
Trending at #3 is Jessica Simpson - because her one year old son "is killing us with cuteness." Gun control enthusiasts rest.
Trending at #8 is Pippa Middleton - because of her claim of not dieting. Yea, lady, pull another one.
On the other hand, "Selena Gomez shares her elaborate beauty rituals" - spare me!
"Honey Boo Boo cancelled" - people with taste, rejoice!
And speaking of gun control - Rihanna is in hot water for her recent appearance with a purse shaped like a gun! This time common sense rests, once again.
"Why Lena Dunhan died her hair mint green" - who exactly gives a flying banana?
"Adult treats for Halloween" - what, raiding your kids' stash is now passe?
Coffee this morning in a disposable cup from a bagel shop located next to a barbarian-overrun laundromat.

MORNING UPDATE - March 27, 2014

Good Morning, peeps! Happy Thursday! According to my phone, it's just above freezing outside - bring out the sunblock!
Our building finally decided to repair the boiler, hence they advised us of the impending absence of the hot water - but failed to mention the almost possible absence of all water. Even the crazy upstairs interrupted her usual routine. Feline companions were extremely preoccupied with the strange noises coming from below and from outside, and during the breaks in those noises resumed hunting for sparrows.
Can't find one of my Bond CD.
Yesterday impressed a few costumers with my ability to instantly know where a particular book is.
Currently trending at #2 is Bethenny Frankel - because her ex wants her to pay his legal fees. A lot of self-respect this dude has, that's for sure.
Duck Dynasty is trending at #4 - because its "star stands by his believes". Good for him!
Provo, UT, was just declared America's happiest city - I guess there is something about that Book of Mormon, after all.
Sandra Bullock is supposedly planning a TV show based on her Miss Congeniality movies - lady, please! The first movie was suck-y enough!
"Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez: Wedding Planning?" - wow! Jelena is that much alive?!!
"Kate Upton's Vogue Photo: Better Than Kim Kardashian's Cover?" - people, people!! Once again, just take a buck and go to the Met, because you have no blinking idea of what true art and beauty are.
And, finally, Kate is "very excited" about first Mother's day - I bet she is!

MORNING UPDATE - AUGUST 14

Good Morning, peeps! Happy Wednesday! The weather is simply fantastic! Of course, Sniff wanted to enjoy it to the fullest - he ran around like crazy, fluffed his tail, knocked down the magnets from the fridge, and, of course, attempted to attack the old coot. Thankfully, the attack did not last long, as his battle wounds are finally healing. I also told him off as got 2 new pairs of flippies that are currently hanging in a bag, hiding from him - to which he responded with a disdainful look that told something like "puny human, I don't care!"
Ina was making humus; one of the ingredients was Tabasco - sometimes Westerners make me laugh (even though I am a Westerner myself, for all intents and purposes).
Currently trending at #1: Khloe and Lamar - "divorce rumors continue following mistress testimony"; something new and original for this family, for sure.
Trending at #3: Bethenny Frankel, who was, of course, talking about her recent divorce - why? As a cautionary tale? Or just to get some stuff off her chest on the national TV?
Trending at #5: Downton Abbey - all because the photo of the cast for Season 4 "was unveiled"! I am not a fan, but, girls, run to see it!!!
Trending at #6: Mila Kunis - "Sexiest Woman Alive Turns 30"! Gee, I don't remember such fanfare when I turned 30, but, then, nobody ever proclaimed me the sexiest woman alive, so, I sort of get it. Of course, I have no idea about as to who, when, and how decides as to which woman would be crowned with that title. Another mystery that won't be solved soon.
Kevin Federline's nuptials are still very much on everyone's mind - my question again is: why?!!
Keri Russell confessed that she works out in her closet because that's the only place she could be herself - oh, come on, lady! Even I dance in my living room! Although, come to think of it, her closet is probably the size of my living room....
Out of 10 "best coffee cities in America" NY came up at #9, while Seattle holds the top spot - give me a break! Here you can get a great cup of Joe basically any time of day or night, while in Seattle we could not do that at 9 pm on Motzei Shabat! NY rules!
And, finally, Will made his first public speech after becoming a dad. In it he claimed that taking care of baby is way harder than flying search and rescue missions (duh!), and he also said that Georgie "got a good pair of lungs on him". When asked if his son had hair, Will joked that the baby had more hair than him.
