The Best Motto

Gd, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannon change
Courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

You woke up this morning - Congratulations! You got another chance!

MORNING UPDATE, October 23, 2012

Good Morning, peeps! Happy Tuesday! The weather is on the blah side today.

The raging discussion is on about who won - not the last debate, though. The specialists on the case are trying to figure out who looked better in sheer ivory dress - Katy Perry or Ashlee Simpson. Princess Sopia is trending at #1 - she is the new Disney character, and the first Hispanic princess. The reason she is trending so high is because she, along with new Minnie Mouse, are too skinny - personally, I don't know what pisses me off more - the near anorexia or Disney's political correctness. Justin Timberlake is trending at #7 due to being wed last week and having no complains so far - sheesh, still being happy a week after the wedding is news?!! Kirsten and R-Patz are reconciled, but now pulled apart by work - and he looks glum. I thought being glum was part of his allure, but I am not a twyheart tween, so what do I know.

MORNING UPDATE, November 1, 2012

Good Morning, peeps! Happy Thursday! Happy November! There was some sunshine outside, which is always welcome. I am feeling stir-crazy, but the trip to the city is, unfortunately, out

The big news in entertainment industry - Disney bought Lucas film and will produce 3 additional Star Wars sequels - geeks everywhere, unite in your happiness or your horror (whatever floats your boat)! Oliver Stone is trending at #6, because he opened his big yup and proclaimed that Sandy was a punishment to both Mitt and Hussein for ignoring climate change - I love when envirowacos surround themselves in religious pathos, especially considering the end result their movement is aiming for. My upstairs neighbor is abusing electricity by doing her usual vacuum routine. Some deranged moron stole Amy Winehouse's wedding dress - considering how much happiness it brought to her, I really don't understand the fascination - never mind that karma, as always, will be a bitch. Marc Summers was talking about mac and cheese, Red Robin's burgers, mashed potatoes, and brownies - I guess parteigenosse Michelle is too busy with campaigning to supervise. Meanwhile, I rediscovered, once again, that oatmeal is not my cup of tea. Sending good vibes to all friends and strangers who are without power or homeless (hopefully, temporarily).

MORNING UPDATE - December 5, 2014

Good Morning, peeps! Happy Friday! Happy Erev Shabat! The weather is acceptable for the beginning of December - but not the best. George decided that he prefers fish now, and Sniff got over his fright of being lost.
The TV was showing Walker, Texas Ranger, of all things - and, of course, this time it was mute!
Currently trending at #4 is Alicia Keys - because of her new song "We Gotta Pray". Of course, she was compelled to add that "We (the blacks, I assume) absolutely feel disregarded as human beings". What's ironic is that one image in her video shows young "palestinian" girl holding a sing "Ferguson with love from Palestine" and another image showing a civil rights march clearly showing a dude who looks like an Orthodox Jew marching with black guys. Good work, Alicia! To quote a popular book - you never disappoint!
"Why you should add tea to your skin-care routine" - because "at least one celebrity facialist is a fan of applying tea directly to the skin". So, here you have it straight from the horse's mouth - run to smother your faces with tea!
"This winter's best beers" - they change from winter to winter?
There is a shortage of L.L. Bean boots! Good work, comrade Hussein, good work!
Disney is producing a line of "Frozen" make up for adults - oy gevalt!
An artist based right here in Brooklyn created pizza bedding - it looks a little scary, if you ask me.
"Potato skin snack" - another sign of a booming economy: instead of throwing away the potato peals, we can turn them into a snack!
Our own borough of Brooklyn was named the "least affordable place in the U.S."! What people find here still eludes me.
An owl was spotted swimming in Lake Michigan.
And, finally, Will and Kate are due to arrive in our fair city on Sunday - I wonder if that would increase the amount of crazies in the store.

MORNING UPDATE - NOVEMBER 18

Good Morning, peeps! Happy Monday! The weather seem to be affected by global warming.
Sniffy and I had to decide who is going to sit in my chair - friendship won, as I am sitting in it right now, and he is sort of snoozing in the cat house. George is strangely quite somewhere.
I enjoy interacting with people who read the book reviews in the Times - simply priceless!
Both Bruce and Kylie Jenner are flitting around top ten for about 24 hours now - because Kylie does not "remember life before fame", and Bruce celebrated his birthday with a pony tail. Needless to say, both pieces are profound and earth-shattering.
Trending at #8 is Jennifer Lawrence, who is supposedly "untouched by Hollywood" - I'll believe it when I stop seeing the headlines about her "sexy" or "edgy" outfits. On a side note, last week a woman asked for a copy of the book that had "different cover" - meaning the one without Jennifer Lawrence on it.
Meanwhile, someone named Kim Zolciak (keep forgetting who it is) is currently trending at #1 because she showed off "enormous baby bump" - bid dratted deal! Just walk into any neighborhood in Brooklyn where "poor and disenfranchised" live, and you will see baby bumps that are way more impressive than Kim's.
"Hollywood Royalty at gala" - spare me!
"Mickey Mouse turns 85" - happy birthday, Mickey! Many happy returns! Just make sure your present handlers take their head out of their behinds and stop bowing to the gods of political correctness.
Bieber's fans are wondering if he shaved his head after he appeared in a baseball cap - needless to say, Bieber's fans should get a life.
Then, of course, there is an obscene amount of sports-related news that mean pretty much zip to me as I have no idea of what they are talking about.
Coffee this morning in my clear funky glass from Target.
