The wind is still howling outside, and rain comes on and off. Thank Gd - we survived! Spent half of last night listening to soul-stirring music. Here is another thing I am very grateful for - Western culture, and all the beautiful art created by dead (and not so dead) white males and white females. Ah, what a difference from our first cousins! To all friends and strangers affected by Sandy - really thinking of you, even if I can't help in any practical way.
Superstorm Sandy is trending at #9 - glad to know our priorities are straight. At #6 is Native American Saint - it looks like our Vatican friends canonized a whole bunch of new saints, and among them, for the first time, is an Indian woman. Well, it's a break from analyzing the pros and cons of Harry Potter and its effect on the younger generation. And at #7 is somebody called Alex Smith - ah, he is a quarterback! That explains it...The state with the highest income tax is our Empire State - slight shocker ( I thought that honour belongs to California); the lowest - Alaska; maybe there is something to eating freshly caught salmon and Aurora Borealis, after all.
Coffee this morning in my funky glass cappuccino mug.
