Good Morning, peeps! Happy Wednesday! It's sunny and bloody freezing outside! IT's the end of March - global warming, my foot!
Sniff spent half the night sleeping on the radiator, and is now running around with his tail in the air. George is hunting sparrows and local barbarians on my window.
The crazy upstairs is strangely silent - too cold for her?
Currently trending at #1 is somebody named Robin Roberts - who, according to Google, is a "television personality", and she is going to guest-judge DWTS. Be still, my heart!
Trending at #4 is Staten Island clown - who is "creeping out" Staten Island. I suppose as opposed to our dear mayor, who is just effin up all 5 boroughs. Plus, he still has 315,998 potholes to repair.
Trending at #9 is Dwayne Johnson - because of his "Hercules body secrets". Spare me!
Justin Timeberlake "treated" Jessica Biel to a "romantic gate-away" to Barbados. Aw, how sweet! Would like to go to Barbados too - and it does not have to be romantic, just warm.
"Bad news for meat lovers" - prices are rising too fast. Well, duh! For this, and many other things, you can thank our current government and the environmentalist cabal.
Britain "answered" to Porsche 911 with a new Jaguar model - because that's the biggest concern of great Britain, to make sure their luxury cars are the best in the world.
"Justin Bieber poses semi-shirtless, teases Calvin Klein campaign" - whatever that means.
"One of Kate Middleton's favorite shoes, Hobbs, arrives in the US" - fashionistas, rejoice!
Coffee this morning in my Aruba mug.

MORNING UPDATE - January 14, 2014
Good Morning, peeps! Happy Tuesday! The weather is on the blah-y side, but at least it is still above freezing. Cats are enjoying the warm spell by being extra frisky - in George's case it shows in being more whiny, and in Sniff's case - more crazy running. He (Sniff) also decided to hunt some barbarians this morning, and for the past couple of days his head is mysteriously smelling of perfume.
Yesterday a costumer had difficulties figuring out how much would a $30 book cost at 50% off. Even after I told her, she asked me to scan it; after I scanned it for her, she bemoaned the fact of us not having self-scanners like in Macy's that would tell exactly how much the item would cost - and these people are allowed to vote!
Currently trending at #1 is Tori Spelling - because she "escaped to Disneyland with kids" while the scandal about her cheating hubby "rages on". Well, Disney really is a magical place that usually lets you forget all your worries - provided, of course, that you have money to afford the magic.
A new youtube sensation explains why a dude was waking up late - it's because his doggy was pushing the snooze button! Sometimes I wish Sniff would chew up my alarm's cord - kitty, did you hear that?
"The new secret to financial security" - elect the government that does not tax you to death.
"The truth about about common nutrition myths" - among them the fact that organic produce "does not pack more nutrients", it's just "better for the environment". Jeepers, I could have told you that a while ago! Fork over some research grants my way!
"The new hot Corvette debuts" - I guess I would have to be a guy in order to understand how a car (any car) could be "hot".
Another breakthrough study - fist bump is a much less germy greeting than a handshake! Who ordered this study - Adrian Monk?!!
"Rare early J. Lo footage" - spare me!
2 pilots from Southwest airline are grounded after landing a plane in the wrong airport - now, that's an achievement!
"Kobe's pricey haircut" - how much does it cost to be bald?!!!
Pope's Harley is for sale - I think a picture of him on Harley in his leather jacket would fetch more money.
Bieber's house was raided by cops over the "egg-throwing incident" - no comment.
And, finally, Kate and Will are searching for a new nanny for Georgie as the current one's contract is almost up - renewing the contract is not in the cards?

MORNING UPDATE - OCTOBER 3
Good Morning, peeps! Happy Thursday! The weather is a bit iffy, but not bad for an early October.
Woke up yesterday with scratches on my foot; both George and Sniff were questioned, but neither admitted to the deed. George is enjoying both his new Amazon boxes: the humongous one and the tiny one. Sniff is racing around the apartment. Earlier he decided to play mashgiach again and supervise the bathroom cleaning; hence he was locked up for his trouble.
According to Men's Health, red apples are the best for your health. Dudes, if I eat an apple at all, it's already an achievement; plus, I don't like red apples, period, so, leave me alone with your statistical data.
In the same august publication was a whole set of instructions on buying a bra for a girlfriend - because that's what we really, really want to get as a gift: underwear!
The country survived another day of the government shutdown with poor parteigenosse Michelle announcing that due to it her Twitter account would not really be updated - aw, cry me a river!
Currently trending at #6 is Chelsea Handler - because she split up with her boyfriend and also because she showed off "bikini body". The public wants to know if these incidents are related, and if yes, what was the cause and what was the effect? You can't just report something like this without further explanations!!
"What Kate Gosselin did with all her money" - does anyone really want to know?
A lot of brides would like to marry on 11/12/13 - I assume because getting married on a specific silly date is a guaranteed foundation for a happy and solid marriage. But, hey, the wedding goods purveyors are happy, at least.
George Clooney "revealed" that he had to wear Spanks for his latest movie - please get that picture out of my head.
Britney Spears "found it tough to play 'sexy' now" - because she is a mother. Congratulations on maturing, Britney!
The world's most expensive car costs only 52 mil - what kind of a whopper of the midlife crisis do you have to hit in order to get this one?!!
And, finally, Bieber announced that he will release a new song each Monday for the 10 consecutive weeks - just when you thought Mondays can't suck more than they do already.

MORNING UPDATE - AUGUST 20
Good Morning, peeps! Happy Tuesday! The weather is returning to the August usual, dang it! Sniff spent at least half the night in the cat house, did his usual crazy routine in the morning, and is now peacefully sleeping on my bed. George was extra winy in the morning, then finally ate something, and is now snoozing on top of the bookcase.
Few days ago my dad proclaimed that he finally understood why his grandkids love maple syrup so much.
Yesterday I saw a huge and magnificent rainbow - which is always a pleasure, till you remember the meaning of it. Also, when I came home and goggled "the blessing", the words "the blessing on the rainbow" was a second choice on google - which is also pretty freaky.
For those of you concerned with the topic - I did claim my Godiva freeby for this month last Friday, and consumed it almost immediately in Central Park. Also, Godiva keeps bombarding me with emails that claim 40% off sale on some stuff (which is still cheepish compare to their original 50% off everything sales), but the "boutique" only had 25% off stuffs - thanks, but no thanks.
Currently trending at #1 is Al Roker - because today is his birthday. Well, at least he did not oversleep again.
Trending at #2: Giuliana Rancic -because she "Dishes On What Makes Her Marriage Work" - wow! People are trying to explain why they are happily married making national news?!
Trending at #6: 'NSYNC reunion - but as I was never a fan, and never considered Timberlake handsome or talented, this little tidbit does nothing for my blood pressure. However, I can see a bunch of wild-eyed people about my age eagerly anticipating.
Sara Gilbert came up with a new book called "Imperfect Environmentalist", which is supposed to be a reference guide to protecting your home from undesirable substances - um, creators and producers of Big Bang Theory: could you please involve her some more in the show to get her off the green train? We really, really don't need another celebrity on it, thank you very much!
"Old fashioned" Cheerios are a healthy way to start your day, especially if you add some berries to it - thank you, kind sirs and madams! I so would not know what to eat (or give kids for snack) without your constant vigilance!
"A second dog joins the White House team" - sequester, my gluts! We are paying about half a mil a year for the first one, and Hussein and Co. are getting another.
Kris Jenner photobombed the passionate embrace of her daughter Kourtney and the boyfriend Scott Disick - and she looked pretty drunk while doing it. Well, that's their usual way of making headlines.
One of the designers for Jaguar 7 called Aston Martin "pretty ugly" - play nice, boys!
And, finally, Kate's father took 2 snapshots of Will, Kate, Georgie, and their dog - in my opinion, the baby stills the show. Of course, those pictures already generated some snark from the Guardian. I love the last paragraph: "The image says they are like us, but we know their happiness rests on a bedrock of massive wealth and tradition. They have nothing to worry about. So maybe if we identify with them, we have nothing to worry about either. It is anxiety that gives birth to conservatism. This is a portrait of our frightened age." Um, moron, it is socializing your country, bowing down to political correctness, and kissing muslim ass that is destroying your country and creating massive anxiety, not the baby and the dog - or the baby's parents, for that matter.
Coffee this morning in my clear funky glass from Target.

MORNING UPDATE - MAY 5
Good Morning, peeps! Happy Sunday! Shavua Tov! The nice weather is holding - yay! George and Sniffles continue to hold their positions on the respective beds; also, George is not exited about his amazon box anymore. But he did try to answer the phone this morning - and dropped the dratted thing in the process. Daniel Radcliffe predicts that his next movie is going to be a hit - yea, because most of the still star-struck Potter fans are going to run and see it. Keira Knightley is trending at #6 because she got married - mazal tov, and please stay away from further Austen dramatizations. IRS is complaining that they are unable to collect all the taxes owed - start with your own staff, guys. Hummus is conquering America, thanks, of course, to an Israeli company - go, Jews! Miley Cyrus is very exited to be #1 on Maxim's hot list - a true accomplishment. Porsche unveiled a new car that can outrun a 747 on takeoff - I wonder how many men who never grew up are already lining up for that one. The cheapest tequila makes the best margarita - nice to know. Justin Bieber showed "sensitivity" to muslim women during his Dubai show by not performing his usual dance with a member of an audience - spare me. And, finally, Kate was blamed for the - are you ready for it? - the shrinking size of handbags! Coffee this morning in my blue wine glass from Target.
